Chapter 1140 Dedicated to Chen Tao
Chapter 1140 Dedicated to Chen Tao
Chapter 1140 Dedicated to Chen Tao (The End)
Superman isn't here; he's dead.
Luthor heard Superman from some dark multiverse standing in front of him speak.
"And you are nothing but a pathetic copy blindly chasing after the afterglow of Superman, crying and calling out, 'Superman, Superman,' and thinking that you can replace him with a mortal body."
Luthor stared at the fallen Superman, his body wreathed in black solar flares, a fusion of a solar flare from some dark multiverse and the Anti-Life Equation. Luthor was so close to him now that he was receiving more radiation than he would at the epicenter of a nuclear blast.
"Do you know that your armor is far inferior to Batman Bruce Wayne's?"
He knew the other person was afraid; the Superman he knew never needed to use words to undermine the other person's fighting spirit.
He was a god in human skin, Luther always knew.
"I consider it my best suit of armor. I've never worn it before. It has a trapped, shrinking black hole that powers it. The black hole is called Star DX6."
Luther appreciated the fact that the fallen Superman's voice sounded exactly the same as before.
That was the smell of fear.
"Nonsense. Such a suit is unstable, and any substantial damage could lead to a black hole event."
"Hmph, I guess that's why I've never worn it, not even now."
Then his armor emitted a mechanical voice: "Beep beep beep, self-destruct countdown, 3, 2————"
"No, wait!"
The Laughing Bat witnessed it all.
He saw Batman Dragon's ambition pounding, and he heard Batman Dragon's promise that if they didn't cooperate with him, everything would cease to exist.
He knew about Batman Dragon's ambition, his corrupted and fallen ambition, and at that moment he realized that this ambition was also his own.
Batman: Dragon is like a mirror, reflecting his own dark and filthy self.
To the Bat of Laughter's astonishment, corresponding to the mirror, he actually had some thoughts in his heart that were genuinely trying to make the world a better place. He knew these thoughts didn't belong to him; he had been corrupted by Chen Tao. But all he wanted to do now was to do them.
He deeply resisted the idea that Batman Dragon wanted to enslave everyone to fight against the Hand of Origin and drag the world into darkness.
Batman Dragon promised him a peaceful and prosperous world, but the Batman Who Laughs could not bear to sacrifice the happiness of himself and his friends at the cost of the suffering of all beings in the multiverse.
As the flames begin to engulf Batman Dragon, the evil side of the Batman Who Laughs also manifests in him. Batman Dragon begs the Batman Who Laughs to save them, to save their friends, to save everyone, every story, past, present, and future.
"Just imagine it!"
He shouted loudly.
Imagine the world you could have!
So he closed his eyes.
He saw an Earth where the Batman Who Laughs and everyone he cared about lived together safely and happily, far from the truth—those he had killed, those he felt guilty about. In this world, they were young again, renewed. In this world, all pain and death did not occur; everyone had endless time ahead of them. The Batman Who Laughs could see them all: Clark, Dick, Jason, Alfred, Diana, Tim, and so on.
It was warm and bright there, with music and dance. Even the Bat that Laughs was dancing, albeit terribly.
He could see it all right in front of him.
He closed his eyes so he could see more clearly.
Then, with force, he shoved the screaming Batman Dragon into the flames.
boom!!!!!
For a long period of time, everything was empty until Chen Tao felt himself.
He walked effortlessly through the fragrant groves, around the massive rocks, and saw the Lady of Death holding a small parasol, looking at him with extreme displeasure.
"You'd better have a backup plan for resurrection."
He heard Death say this.
"The green of all things, the black of decay, or the red of all living beings?" Death grumbled incessantly. She wasn't originally this kind of death, but the other party had repeatedly jumped back and forth in his life. As death, she had to fulfill her duties, but Batman Dragon always found a way to escape.
She's used to it.
Death in the DC multiverse is like a sieve; there are far too many ways to escape it. The DC multiverse isn't exactly a place where the rules of death are strictly enforced. Even someone like the Black Death Emperor, a representative of the realm of death, is a legitimate escapee.
The deceased.
Will the Black Death Emperor one day embrace eternal silence?
It will definitely happen, but it will certainly be later than for many others.
Death awaits Batman Dragon. As before, he must find a way to resist it. Perhaps it's a cloned body that can transfer its consciousness to the original after its destruction, as the Batman Who Laughs once did. Perhaps it's some kind of fifth-dimensional magic that can prevent Chen Tao's soul from drifting into any of the underworlds of death after he dies.
When you transcend the power level of a single universe and ascend to the level of multiverse judges and six-dimensional deities, death is no longer a threat to you, at least until that final moment arrives.
Even the sun, which was pressed into the final apocalypse, should not have been able to kill a being as close to transcendence as Batman Dragon/The Dark Knight. If he wanted, he could continue to entangle them forever, just like the Anti-Monitor was killed at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths. He would repeatedly do sit-ups, leaving a deep scar in the history of the multiverse named after himself.
So death awaits Batman Dragon, just as it has before, to escape its grip, as it has for many in the multiverse and for many times before him.
but no.
She heard Batman Dragon say, "No."
This makes death seem somewhat stagnant.
What does "no" mean?
She looked at Chen Tao.
You'd better be joking.
"You don't understand what I did. This time is different from all the others."
He heard Batman Dragon explain it to him in this way. His voice was calm, as if he were the one who was dying.
"To prevent the Batman Who Laughs from taking the position of the villain who destroyed the DC multiverse, I laughed first, absorbing all the evil that he should have had, and then used my personality to bear that evil. Through my deal with the Void Hand, I pushed the Batman Who Laughs to the position of hero. You don't understand, the Batman Who Laughs is not a bad person. He—he is not my real enemy."
"Then who is your real enemy?"
"The flaws of the DC multiverse. That flaw is my real enemy. My enemy is not a specific person, but a more abstract pattern."
The DC multiverse has been designed since its inception as a machine that constantly generates crisis energy, continuously producing energy for Perpetua to create against the Hand of Creation—this is an unalterable fact.
While the DC multiverse is healing itself, it is also constantly producing viruses powerful enough to kill itself. In this process of constantly harming and healing itself, the DC multiverse becomes stronger and stronger, somewhat like how constantly harming itself can cause calluses to grow on its hands.
The existence of our universe is illogical and counterintuitive; the very nature of the vampire universe distinguishes us from the normal universe.
Death listened quietly; she already sensed what Batman Dragon was about to do.
Are you really sure? Even if I were the embodiment of death, I couldn't defy my instincts. Some things, once started, are irreversible. Are you truly prepared?
"The appearance of Doctor Manhattan was an accident. He opened a wound in the DC multiverse called 'The Stolen Decade.' The DC multiverse is still following the underlying logic of superheroes and villains and has no idea that after absorbing Doctor Manhattan's quantum power, the virus, which can usually be easily suppressed by white blood cells, will be strengthened by the quantum power to become a deadly killer."
Doctor Manhattan, an Outer God, once inadvertently occupied this villain's position, but he didn't want him and his Watchmen universe to be swept into the DC multiverse. Perpetua and the Void Hand also wanted to occupy this position, but if they succeeded, the DC multiverse would no longer be able to write the script of "villains being defeated by superheroes." The final result would definitely be that Perpetua reigns over the entire DC multiverse and then goes to war with the Creator Hand.
Even if I defeat Perpetua, it won't matter, because the underlying logic of the hero-villain game is still in effect. The DC multiverse is using its Manifest Destiny to feed a virus that could kill it, without considering whether it will have enough nutrients to nourish immune cells to defeat the virus once it's grown up.
After Perpetua's defeat, there's the Void Hand; and after the Void Hand, there's the Bat Who Laughs.
Death took a deep breath. She heard Batman Dragon say, "So, this is the plan."
I will become that virus.
The reason the DC Multiverse cannot solve the virus as it has in the past is because Dr. Manhattan has taken away ten years of the DC Multiverse. However, if the virus voluntarily chooses to destroy itself, it would be equivalent to the Anti-Monitor voluntarily being destroyed in Crisis on Infinite Earths. In that case, all the problems would be solved in an instant.
Besides me, the most likely candidate for the virus is the Batman Who Laughs. So, to prevent the Batman Who Laughs from competing with me for the virus's position, I've prepared a series of plans to ensure he replaces me as the hero. This plan also has another benefit. Do you know what it is?
"What is it?"
"Save the Batman Who Laughs and the Dark Multiverse. Under the influence of the Joker Virus, the Batman Who Laughs slaughtered the entire Bat-family. Every Batman in the Dark Knights was crushed and corrupted by different disasters, becoming a Bruce who was no longer Bruce."
Batman Dragon looks into the eyes of death.
"That's not right. They didn't become villains on their own initiative. It's the underlying logic of the DC multiverse that's distorting their minds, damaging their free will, and twisting their fate, all because billions of years ago, the creator of this multiverse intended to transform it into a tool to fight against his mother race?"
When my plan succeeds, the multiverse's mortality rate will be minimized due to the existence of the cosmic reboot. But what about the beings of the Dark Multiverse? Were they simply created hastily and then thrown into the trash like tools to rot? Or were they simply dressed in glowing armor and defeated by righteous heroes, then simply disappeared from the history of the DC multiverse?
"Things shouldn't be like this. I'm sure I'll find a way that satisfies both sides. So this is the final plan."
"Are you really sure? Look at Earth-15 of the Calamity. You should know that this is an irreversible choice."
Death said.
"Don't you have any other way to make the multiverse ———"
Then she met Batman Dragon's calm eyes: "I know, I know it all too well. And I know something else very well too. I haven't completely entered death yet, which means that after my body perishes, the Batman Who Laughs still has a chance to wrest free will from my grasp, he still has a chance to become the ultimate virus—after I, the virus, am voluntarily destroyed. So we're going to play the superhero vs. villain game to the very end."
Death heard Batman's Dragon say, "The virus must be eradicated from the DC multiverse."
"When the virus completely dies and ceases to exist in the DC multiverse, then the immune cells—"
"There's no way to turn back into a virus," Death said. She asked Batman Dragon, "Isn't there any other way? Is there absolutely no chance?"
"I have no idea."
Then Death heard the voice of Batman's dragon.
"I don't know—I'm sorry. This time—"
"I really have no other choice."
Batman's Dragon said: "If I am destined to sleep forever, then my death should naturally be a transition from day to night—"
'
"Very ordinary."
At first, everything was empty.
Until the Bat of Laughter slowly came to realize its own existence.
Batman Dragon was pushed into the End of the Sun by him!
He succeeded!
He could finally execute his entire plan, causing the entire DC multiverse to erupt in laughter!
He has become the most powerful being in the DC multiverse. When he killed Batman Dragon, he clearly felt that the portion of Doctor Manhattan's quantum divine power that Batman Dragon possessed was taken by him and entered his body.
Everything in Batman: Dragon came to him; everything was made for his benefit.
No one could stop him now; everyone would bow down at his feet. The Bat Who Laughs felt immense joy.
He felt lightheaded, as happy as if he were drunk.
Batman Dragon can no longer stop him; no one can stop him.
With a single thought, he arrived at the center of the DC multiverse, where he discovered Batman Dragon's backup plan to stop him: the legacy of the Void Hand, the replica of the miracle machine in the DC multiverse, or the Destruction Machine.
Whatever, none of this matters to the Batman Who Laughs. The Batman Who Laughs senses the power left behind in the DC multiverse by the Void Hand, aided by Batman Dragon—that thing called a story?
This thing could affect even Perpetua, but the Bat of Laughter tore it apart easily, as easily as tearing apart a spider web hanging on one's body.
He appeared before the main universe's Batman.
He reached out like Doctor Manhattan, and then, as if turning the pages of a book, he read through all the memories in the mind of the main universe's Batman.
Even the conversations with Batman Dragon, those that the main universe's Batman himself had deliberately forgotten, became crystal clear under the Batman Who Laughs's interpretation, like still water in a mirror.
The main universe's Batman, by relinquishing his memories, could even deceive the World Maker, but the Batman Who Laughs, while reading, manipulated the past and future of the DC multiverse. The entire DC multiverse was at his feet; no one could stop him. After learning the full extent of Batman Dragon's plans, the Batman Who Laughs let out a hysterical laugh.
Hahahaha, you didn't expect that, did you? But all of this was part of the Bat of Laughter's plan.
Batman Dragon is dead, so who can stop him now?
He stretched out his palm, aiming it at the main universe bat. He hesitated slightly, carefully savoring the thoughts of the superheroes that appeared in his mind, the thoughts of being unable to bear it, the idea of creating a better world, the idea that he was actually distorted by the Joker virus. These feelings made Batman Who Laughs unable to distinguish whether they were his original thoughts or those instilled in his mind by Batman Dragon, but he used his reason to slay these thoughts.
He pouted, and the Batman from the main universe grabbed his neck and lifted him into the air.
He only needed to exert a little more force, and the main universe Batman who was about to say something would immediately disintegrate into a pile of blood that exploded in mid-air.
everything is over.
The laughing bat reached out its hand.
After killing Batman, the mastermind behind the universe, he will completely reshape the entire DC multiverse; the Creator's Hand is currently in DO...
A menacing threat looms from beyond the multiverse, and he will be the one to oppose it—a battle the Batman Who Laughs has staked everything on. The entire power of the DC multiverse rests on his shoulders; if he can kill the Hand of Creation, the DC multiverse will receive a massive boost, like a vampire devouring raw flesh.
Everyone will —
error?
The laughing bat suddenly paused, stunned.
Like a deafening roar, the largest virus in the DC multiverse no longer exists, so the Batman Who Laughs, an immune cell, can no longer transform into a virus.
The Batman Who Laughs never imagined anyone would do such a thing. In an instant, the multiverse virus that had been devoured by the Joker virus disappeared, its outer shell cracking inch by inch, revealing the original Earth—the core of Bruce Wayne 22.
Chen Tao succeeded; Batman: Dragon was a success.
"I—what have I done—no—please, I beg you—"
Bruce on Earth-22 has begun to collapse.
The memories of killing the entire bat family after he became the Bat of Laughter, the malice and pain he caused, reverberated in his mind like huge echoes layered upon each other.
He fell to the ground, and even with the greatest power in the entire DC multiverse, he was now overwhelmed with grief and had become a mentally broken child.
No one could accept this. The clown in his world had murdered so many children right before his eyes. He wanted to save it all, to change it all. He broke his own no-kill rule, crossed the boundaries he had set for himself. His actions were neither right nor wrong, just choices. And then he lost himself, becoming the Batman Who Laughs. What could be more tragic than that?
The world may push you toward evil, but this depravity does not stem from the world's malice or the distortion of human nature. Instead, it ultimately comes from a deliberate murder and a virus that alters his nature.
This is simply the biggest joke the landslide fallacy has ever told in reality!
But now it's all over.
The mentally broken Earth—22 Bruce looked up. Although he was no longer the Batman Who Laughs, he could still sense the Origin Hands lurking outside the DC Multiverse, seeking to erase this vampire universe. Such a monstrous universe should not exist in the omnipotent universe; it would only become a vehicle for devouring other universes and causing conflict and suffering.
If he cannot become the Bat Who Laughs and confront the entire Origin Hand clan head-on, what other way is there to deal with these people of Perpetua?
"We don't need to fight them."
—22 Bruce turned his head and saw Batman, the chief judge, saying, "Batman Dragon must have provided a solution."
I will definitely provide a solution.
"So what is it?"
"I don't know," said the main universe Batman. "He didn't tell me, most likely to prevent me from having my memories read by the Batman Who Laughs like before. After all, I'm the only one left on the chessboard besides Batman Dragon. But I guess where he hid the solution."
The main universe's Batman said, "That gorilla, Groud, Chen Tao left something hidden in his mind. If there's a solution, it should be there."
In an instant, the gorilla Gerd appeared in Bruce's hands, and he instantly read Gerd's memories.
He saw a history that was completely different from the current timeline.
A history where Batman Dragon doesn't exist.
Since Batman's Dragon does not exist, there is naturally no Earth-15 event, and the Multiverse Convergence continues as usual because the Anti-Monitor's resurrection plan has not been interfered with.
Parallax Morhal and P Super teamed up to thwart the Anti-Monitor's resurrection, and P Super arrived in the early New 52 universe, succeeding N Super as Superman in the main universe after N Super's death.
One event after another, each linked to the next. This entire memory constructs a DC multiverse on a different trajectory, but one that conspicuously omits Batman Dragon Chen Tao.
Time continued to advance, the New 52 passed, a new era arrived, the DC multiverse was reborn, Superman's biological father was resurrected but then killed by Doctor Manhattan, who orchestrated the fusion of P Superman and N Superman, resulting in the birth of R Superman. This was the most important historical phase of the entire DC multiverse rebirth, followed by Barbatos' invasion of the main universe, the Dark Night Metal event, and then...
Dark Night: Death Metal
The laughing bat was pressed into the final sun.
Wonder Woman Diana Prince negotiates with the Origin Hands.
No, this is no longer a simple matter of memorizing and reading.
—22 Bruce tossed the bewildered Grodd aside.
He held his head in his hands.
He is now a god in the entire DC multiverse, and when he has the will, *Dark Nights: Death Metal* is already part of the DC universe.
The reality in the multiverse's trans-temporal flow is simply not yet solidified.
He heard the voice of Diana from the main universe.
"You are? You are one of them, the Hand of Creation? Listen to me, this reality has indeed shaken us, but there is so much beauty here, I swear."
Bruce, at age 22, felt himself standing next to Diana.
His figure dissolved into the pure white space, becoming the backdrop of this timeline, a person who no longer exists.
Bruce, aged 22, sensed that the Hands of Creation had seen him.
But the Creators ignored him.
"When we create a multiverse, Diana, our hope is that life within it will follow a path that elevates it from simple selfishness to the pursuit of a greater truth. Your multiverse, even after the reboot, still frequently fails on this path."
Bruce, aged 22, felt the light of the Creator's Hands resting on him, which terrified and bewildered him.
He heard the Creators continue speaking to Diana: "And sometimes they even vehemently oppose this ascension, reveling in its basic instincts. My people are rarely so shocked—and terrified."
"So it's true, everything is going to be wiped out? I need to know the truth."
Bruce, who was 22, heard Diana say this.
Regardless, Bruce would never sit idly by and wait for his doom.
But before he could do anything, he heard the Hands of Creation say, “Before I answer, I will use a form that you can perceive to give you an example of a figure that our race reveres, a figure whose heroism we praise, so that you may understand what we mean.”
Then, in the main universe of the Death Metal timeline, Diana sees a Golden Age version of Wonder Woman standing in front of her, which is the embodiment of the Hand of Creation. However, from Bruce's perspective in -22, the embodiment of the Hand of Creation transforms into the appearance of Batman Dragon.
"I don't understand—" —22 Bruce and Diana said almost at the same time.
"You and your people fought for justice, even knowing we would annihilate you no matter what. When we couldn't save you, you saved us. We have never seen anything so foolish or so admirable done in any other multiverse. Therefore, you have made us rethink some of our practices."
"Then our multiverse—"
—22 Bruce pricked up his ears to listen to the answer from the Hand of Creation.
"It will be restored. Yes, but in a very different way. First of all, all the history, all the stories, will be remembered forever. We also realize that for your race, perhaps there have never been any walls or borders, so we will remove them. But know that reality has never been constructed in this way. Everything is new to you, and to us as well. It is certainly a greater threat, but it also presents greater possibilities. Do you think this is the right path forward, Diana?"
—22 Bruce understood the meaning of the Creator's Hand: the DC Multiverse would no longer erase everyone's memories with a single reboot. The Creator's Hand was about to intervene and break this vicious cycle of "the universe rebooting, and Gotham, which had just been brought under control, becoming a crime capital again."
"Yes, yes, I don't know how to thank you. I can only promise that we will make you proud."
"Before you thank me, know that doing this will come at a huge cost."
—Bruce and Diana spoke almost simultaneously: "If my life is part of this price, I'd be happy to pay it."
But nobody paid any attention to Bruce Negative 22, as if nobody saw him.
—22 Bruce knew this wasn't a memory, but a reality that was happening.
Batman: Dragon has prepared for this reality. And this reality is helping the DC multiverse fight against the Creator Hand.
He has indeed found a way to resolve the crisis of the Hand of Creation.
All of this was part of Batman Dragon's plan.
He succeeded.
He really succeeded.
"No, darling, you won't die."
Then—22 Bruce heard the voice of the Hand of Origin.
He realized that the words were not spoken to himself, but to someone else.
"You will be more alive than ever before, but you must ascend to heaven to help us protect this new reality from potential threats."
you.
It's not you.
But aside from Bruce 22 hiding nearby, the only person in front of the Hand of Origin should be Diana from the main universe.
"Whatever you need, I'm willing to help," said Diana from the main universe.
"Then come here, take my hand, let's embrace the future together, and let the truth be the metal that paves the way for us."
(Note: This directly connects to the ending of Dark Night: Death Metal)
—22 Bruce's eyes widened.
A brand new reality was taking shape in the DC multiverse. He felt a split, as if a monster called the Batman Who Laughs still existed within him. But then he saw that monster being pressed into the Sun of the End by Diana in the Death Metal timeline. He felt a lightness all over his body, and the monster was finally gone.
Batman and everyone else are resurrected in this reality that Diana helped restore with the help of the Creator's Hand. All the dead, all the pain and mistakes are interpreted in this new history.
But Batman #22 still had some questions.
What about Batman: Dragon?
Where did he go again?
But soon, Bruce realized he was running out of time.
He has become a member of the Hand of Origin. He can leave the DC Multiverse and go to the Omnipotent Universe, but can he really? After all the evil I have committed?
—22 Bruce didn't know, but he still did something selfish: he found his former Dark Multiverse upstream in the Hypertime Stream. He stopped everything from happening before it did, then created a false history, removing it from the Hypertime Stream before that universe was destroyed by his Batman Who Laughs version of himself.
He has hidden his universe within his body like a handkerchief, and now he is not afraid even if he leaves the DC multiverse.
Then—22 Bruce thought for a moment, then went to another part of the timeline, folded it up before Chen Tao's universe was destroyed, and stuffed it into his pocket. This would mean that Chen Tao's universe wouldn't be among the worlds restored by the Hand of Creation, but he believed that Chen Tao's companions would definitely want to preserve their memories of knowing Batman Dragon.
Batman: Dragon's plan made Diana and Deathmetal the canonical part of the DC multiverse's timeline, and their entire history became an untold story, just like the history of Doomsday as the main universe's Superman during the 200 years of the Gog Wars.
But everything is fine, which is the luckiest thing.
As the Hand of Origin reshapes the world, everyone's past is set in stone, Earth is restored, and everyone returns to their state before the Batman Laughing's attack. Countless new futures are unfolding, and with the healing of the trans-timeline, everyone may very well experience their flashbacks in an epic way, or even parallel versions of the past.
Some of the dead have come back to life, not only those who died in battle, but also those who died before the recent events.
The Origin Wall has vanished, and the world operates in a way that Bruce has never seen before—a multiverse, an infinite network of multiverses.
An infinite boundary.
This is a new chapter.
The realm of death.
"So, this might be the first time in your life that you've experienced a dramatic turn of events after seemingly resigned to your fate?"
Chen Tao said this upon hearing about death.
Although she didn't show it, Chen Tao could sense a feeling of pleasure in his words.
"But unfortunately, you escaped the realm of death through the hand of creation. You remain a dead man in the accounts of the DC Multiverse." Death warned Chen Tao: "Unless you find a way to be resurrected in the DC Multiverse, I will have to succumb to my instincts and take you away when you step into the DC Multiverse again. Therefore, you can no longer remain in the DC Multiverse. You must leave."
Chen Tao stood up from the ground.
Death gradually became transparent before him, which meant that death was moving away from him.
"This might be the last time we see each other, isn't it?" he asked.
"You don't want to see death again," Death replied.
Then they were silent for a while.
"goodbye."
Chen Tao said.
"Alright, goodbye," Death replied, then Lady Death paused.
"I really hate to part with you." (Chapter 542)
The past and present are in a closed loop.
But death soon disappeared. She would not appear before those who were not dead. This was her instinct. Death could never be defied, or rather, the fact that she could still speak was already a form of defiance.
Chen Tao took a step forward, traversing countless new worlds, new stories, and new eras. He flew out of the DC multiverse and grabbed the infant multiverse that the World Makers had once created. He dragged it with immense power, and then he saw the Hands of Origin outside the DC multiverse, as well as—22 Bruce.
Then he looked at Bruce.
"I guess you've already done what I wanted to do for me."
—22 Bruce brought out Chen Tao's universe. Just as Chen Tao had predicted, he was always incredibly insightful.
He didn't rush to see his friends; instead, he placed his universe into the baby multiverse.
Then he took a deep breath and looked back at the DC multiverse one last time.
The DC multiverse is on track.
All of this is crucial.
The mountains stand tall, overlooking life and death.
As day fades and night falls, everything sinks into a dark silence.
Followed by.
The stars are shining.
The stars twinkle with eternal light.
The Hands of Origin are moving; they are leaving.
Chen Tao followed closely behind them, bringing his own world with him.
He walked towards the omnipotent universe; he was walking towards—
He was heading towards the day that was about to arrive.
The sunlight gently falls through the universe, like an ending.
It fell on Chen Tao and Bruce—22.
He carries his own world in his pocket.
(The End. An epilogue and preview of the extra chapters will be posted in a few days.)
