Chapter 3 Family
Chapter 3 Family
"Grandma Poliusika! Help!"
Upon seeing the forest treehouse in the distance, Moen began to shout loudly.
"Squeak!"
The treehouse door was quickly opened, and an old woman with pink hair and a red cloak decorated with dragon teeth came out. She looked at Moen, who was calling for help, with a nervous expression.
"What happened?! Who's injured?!"
Poliusika asked, having heard Moen's shout, she thought something serious had happened.
"It's Natsu! He's passed out!"
Moen and Erza arrived at the treehouse door, and Erza answered with a somewhat anxious expression.
"Come in."
Poryusika glanced at Natsu, her emotions instantly calming down. She could tell that the child was not seriously injured.
Poliuska frowned at Moen, who had just been shouting, while the brat just grinned at her and, before she could say anything, darted into the treehouse.
In the treehouse in the forest, several children gathered around the hospital bed, looking at Natsu with great concern.
"Grandma Poryusika, is Natsu alright?"
Moen asked, as the instigator, he did need to show some concern.
"It's alright, this little guy is very strong."
Polyusika spoke up, holding a magic potion and using healing techniques. Natsu's injuries visibly disappeared. Actually, he wasn't really injured; he was just bruised and swollen.
"That's good."
Moen nodded. Just as he thought, how could Natsu be taken down so easily?
After the treatment was completed, Poliusika looked at Moen and the others with a somewhat impatient expression, and directly gave them the order to leave.
"It's all over now. Take him away and don't bother me here."
The current Polyusica is a stark contrast to the Polyusica who was just now rushing to open the door to save people; the disdain on her face is palpable.
"Hehe, let's go!"
Moen chuckled twice, grabbed Natsu from the hospital bed, and ran out. Erza, Gray, Cana, and Shiro, along with their dog, immediately followed him, a group of kids rushing around like a whirlwind.
Goodbye, Granny Poliusica!
As they ran, the group said goodbye to Poliusica.
Watching the noisy, chattering children leave, Poliusicaa, who had just looked disgusted, couldn't help but smile.
Then, she immediately tensed up and reverted to her disgusted expression.
"I hate humans the most. Even the children only know how to fight and make noise all day long. It's so annoying."
Polyusica muttered something to herself and then closed the treehouse door.
Moen was already used to Granny Poliusica's attitude.
Grandma Poliwitch's personality is a classic example of "tsundere"—she says one thing but means another, and is cold on the outside but warm on the inside. She always says she "hates all humans," but she always comes to the rescue when someone is in danger. Basically, everyone in Fairy Tail has been healed by her.
With Natsu tucked under his arm, Moen led the little ones all the way back to Magnolia City.
Magnolia City is a historic magical commercial city located in the east of the Kingdom of Fiore. It has a population of over 6 and has been a city where magic has flourished since ancient times. Fairy Tail is the only legitimate mage guild in the city.
Upon entering Magnolia City, the group didn't return to the guild but instead split up. Erza and Cana went back to the girls' dormitory, Gray carried Natsu back to the boys' dormitory, and Moen went home.
It's worth mentioning that Erza, Cana, Gray, and Natsu are all pitiful children without parents, and they all live in dormitories provided by the guild.
As for Moen, although he was also an orphan, he was fortunate enough to have a home. He grew up in the Fairy Tail guild and was adopted by the guild master Makarov.
As the guild master of Fairy Tail, Makarov Dreyer's house is quite large, a three-story white villa with a sizable front and back yard.
Moen opened the courtyard gate. In the middle of the courtyard was a bluestone path leading to the small villa. On both sides of the path, Grandpa Makarov had planted some flowers and plants, which were in full bloom.
He ran back to the mansion quickly, and as soon as he opened the door, he bumped into a figure.
"Hey! Moen! You bastard! Watch your men!"
The man who was hit clutched his chest, looking like he had lost his breath. He pointed at Moen, baring his teeth and looking fierce.
"Laxus?! What are you doing at home? Did you finish your order and come back?"
Upon seeing the person in front of him, Mo En's eyes lit up, and he asked with some surprise.
The person in front of me was tall with short blond hair. He had a lightning bolt symbol on his left eye and wore a modern-looking music magic item called a "sound pot" on his ear. It was actually just a pair of headphones that could play music. There were many similar magic items in this world.
Laxus Doraemon, the grandson of Makarov's grandfather and Moen's older brother, is sixteen years old this year. When Makarov found Moen, Laxus was by his side.
"Yes, I just completed a Level A commission. For me, these commissions have become a bit too easy."
Upon hearing Moen's question, Laxus straightened his back and answered with an arrogant expression. He was no longer satisfied with A-rank commissions, as such commissions could no longer prove his strength.
"Perhaps you should take the S-class mage exam."
Upon hearing Laxus's words, Moen gave him an idea.
Laxus was not satisfied with continuing to accept A-rank commissions; he wanted to challenge S-rank commissions. However, to accept S-rank commissions, he had to become an S-rank mage, which required taking the S-rank mage exam.
"Soon, this year, or next year, that old geezer won't be able to stop me anymore!"
Laxus clenched his fist; he had clearly been considering this for some time.
"Laxus, you should show some respect to your grandfather. Stop calling him 'old geezer' all the time. No matter what, he's your grandfather, the guild leader, and a respectable person."
Upon hearing Laxus's words, Moen's joyful expression gradually faded, and he spoke with a somewhat earnest tone, offering his advice.
Moen's words caused Laxus to visibly turn red. Even though he was the eldest son in the family, Moen was lecturing him like an older brother.
"It's not your place to lecture me!"
Laxus crackled with electricity as he shoved Morne aside and strode away from home.
"..."
Watching Laxus leave with Red Warm, Moen couldn't help but sigh. The Laxus of the past wasn't like this; the well-behaved, polite, and warm-hearted Laxus had vanished...
