"...Wow! I'm really impressed with you now!"
The living room is now exactly the same as before!
Rin Tohsaka originally only wanted Pendragon to at least clean up the rubble, but for him to do this much, her emotions went beyond mere admiration.
That guy must be bothered by the mess he made of the living room. Otherwise, he wouldn't have cleaned it up to this extent.
"Basic operation, everyone sit down, do not 6."
"The preface is withdrawn."
Rin Tohsaka, not knowing which part of the translation she had misunderstood, suddenly felt that Assassin's shamelessness was hardly praiseworthy!
"???"
Pendragon was a little confused. He had just been a little smug and made a joke in the comments, but what did this lousy translator translate it into?
Rin Tohsaka went into the bathroom to wash up, while Pendragon waited patiently, and petted the cat for a while.
"You can go out now, Assassin. You're still unfamiliar with this city after being summoned, aren't you? Let me show you around the streets."
"There's no need to go out... I'll wait for you at home."
P.S.: Remember to go to bed early, everyone!
Chapter Thirty-Seven: Your Name
Chapter 37
"Hey, I told you, you were summoned by me for battle, right? Why do you look like you'd rather be a shut-in forever?!"
"Fighting and killing are no good. Why not invite everyone over for a salon, read books together, drink tea, and enjoy a peaceful and quiet time? Wouldn't that be wonderful?"
Pendragon spoke with an air of self-righteousness.
Rin Tohsaka stopped arguing with him and said angrily, "Fine, I'll eat out by myself. You can come or not, it's up to you."
With a snort, Miss Rin ignored Pendragon, who was petting the cat in the living room, tidied herself up in front of the mirror, and left with a calm expression.
Pendragon followed obediently behind her as the two waited for the bus at the station.
"By the way, what should I call you from now on?"
At the bus stop, only Rin Tohsaka and Pendragon were waiting for the bus. Considering the need to conceal her master's identity, Rin didn't insist on having Pendragon call her master.
I just wanted to see him get his comeuppance last night.
"My name is Rin Tohsaka, you can call me whatever you like."
"Rin-chan~"
"Pfft! I knew I'd prefer you to call me by my surname."
Rin Tohsaka suddenly blushed, trying her best to imagine Pendragon's face as that of a lecherous old man, and said this with a tone of disgust.
"Then I'll just call you Rin."
Pendragon nodded solemnly.
Just then, a bus came by, and Miss Rin quickly ran onto it without even checking which line it was.
There's no time to explain.
The town of Fukayama is a prime example of a sparsely populated area; apart from Pendragon and his companion, there wasn't a single other person on the entire bus.
Hmm, there wasn't a single person in sight.
Rin Tohsaka walked straight to the last seat and sat down, her slender, long, black legs pressed together to one side, her fair hands overlapping on the hem of her skirt—
This is the standard sitting posture of a young lady of high society; she looks incredibly dignified, elegant, and has an outstanding temperament.
If there were other girls around her to complement her, she would be like a rare orchid in a secluded valley, able to stand out from the crowd.
However, the person sitting next to her now is Pendragon. Her beauty transcends gender boundaries, and she possesses a captivating passive ability that can charm anyone. Naturally, she is not suited to be a supporting character.
Sitting next to Lady Rin would only make others feel that they are a perfect match and feel ashamed of themselves.
As her friend Ayako Midori said, Rin Tohsaka's disguise of her perfect young lady persona has become so terrifying that it's almost like having a second personality!
Even though the driver was the only outsider on the bus, she maintained the proper demeanor of a well-bred lady without feeling tired at all.
Pendragon tilted his head and looked at Rin Tohsaka, who had finished washing and dressing, for a while. Feeling that there was plenty of time, he took out a book.
Just like modern people's dependence on mobile phones, Pendragon felt uneasy and incomplete if he didn't read when he had nothing to do.
"Are you really not concerned about this war at all?"
A small, fair hand reached out and pressed down on the magically woven pages. Rin Tohsaka lowered her voice and gritted her teeth as she stared at Pendragon's calm face.
I brought him out to get familiar with the environment, but this guy didn't even have the interest to look outside.
This is hardly a reconnaissance environment, Miss Yilin, this guy looks like he's just out here to freeload!
"real."
Pendragon stared directly at Rin Tohsaka's sullen little face and nodded seriously.
"you……"
The young lady's composure almost crumbled; Rin Tohsaka's cute face instantly transformed into a dramatic, exaggerated expression—
Well, Pendragon is exceptionally adorable!
Ugh, I'm so angry! I really want to beat him up with a full set of Bajiquan!
"Because I was summoned by you, I am bound to be the strongest. To win, I don't need to rely on these unimportant details!"
"The combination of the strongest magician and the strongest servant, tell me how you can lose!"
Seeing that Rin Tohsaka was on the verge of exploding, Pendragon, thinking of his breakfast, cleverly gave her a shout-out.
"???"
Miss Rin was caught off guard by this compliment, especially coming from this guy who never said nice things. She was momentarily stunned and a little bewildered.
"The strongest?"
"That's right, in my opinion, you are absolutely the best!"
"What the hell are you saying all of a sudden?!"
Rin Tohsaka's face instantly turned red. She forced a huff and turned her head away, refusing to look at her.
"Tell the truth."
Pendragon silently omitted the word "meal ticket." After all, she was still just a little girl; how could she possibly understand the wickedness of the adult world?
"Fine, fine! I won't pursue your improper attitude."
They easily forgave the guy's "evil deeds".
However, being recognized by such a being who has become a Heroic Spirit made the girl quite happy, and the slight unpleasantness from before was immediately replaced by this sense of accomplishment.
Rin Tohsaka herself knew that this was too lenient and would not enhance her authority as the master at all; in fact, it had the opposite effect.
"But I want you to take this war seriously! At least have some understanding of the battlefield... if you still want to eat."
Rin Tohsaka was halfway through her sentence when she saw Pendragon open his mouth to say something. She immediately unleashed her trump card, her attitude as forceful as if she were using a Command Spell to amend a contract.
"I'll be super serious!"
Pendragon moved his rosy lips, swallowing the words he had intended to say, demonstrating absolute obedience.
Fukayama Town is divided into two large parts.
Some of the houses here were built by foreign immigrants from Europe, creating a Western-style street. On the other side, there is an old Japanese-style residential area nestled against the mountain.
Since both sides are on hillsides, it can be considered a suburb.
The bus travels along this street that is sandwiched between Japanese and Western styles. From one side to the villa where Pendragon and the others left, there is a ramp leading to the Western-style residential area, and from the other side, there is a ramp leading to the Japanese-style residential area.
This street continues past the connecting bridge to the neighboring town of Shinto, past schools and shopping streets, and finally leads to Ryudo-ji Temple on the mountain.
Now it is traveling in the opposite direction, arriving at the famous Fuyuki Bridge.
This red steel bridge spans the Mien River, connecting Fukayama Town with the new city, but there are still hardly any people to be seen.
It wasn't until the car reached the modern new city that sparse pedestrians began to appear on the streets, and as we got closer to the shopping mall in the center, the density of the crowd increased dramatically.
Pendragon wasn't interested in anything else, but out of respect for the pretty girl, he would nod occasionally to show that he was listening to her.
P.S.: Only by being free from desires and wants can one achieve inner peace~ For example, the author is no longer asking for votes lol.
Chapter Thirty-Eight: I Want It All
Chapter 38
"Man is made of iron, food is made of steel! Rin, at least let me eat my fill before you introduce the battlefield, otherwise what if I encounter the enemy on an empty stomach?"
Pendragon tugged at the sleeve of Rin Tohsaka's red coat and offered his honest advice.
"..."
Miss Rin thought it made a lot of sense, so she stopped and looked at Pendragon, asking:
"There are many restaurants here. What would you like to eat? Crepes, takoyaki, ramen, yakiniku (grilled meat), steak, and even a French restaurant..."
"Stop talking!"
Pendragon was practically drooling, his ahoge (cowlick) was practically blurring out of shape, and he was looking at his meal ticket with incredibly expectant eyes.
I want them all!
"Clam???"
Miss Rin broke out in a cold sweat. Her womanly sixth sense suddenly detected something amiss.
But now is not the time to back down. After glancing at the cash and credit cards in her wallet, Rin Tohsaka waved her hand and said, "French food... no, takoyaki, let's go!"
Of course, it's not because the young lady doesn't have enough money, but because the French restaurant still has some time before it opens for lunch, so let's take this to a small shop to have a bite to eat first?
Rin Tohsaka wasn't entirely confident either. Are all Servants this big eaters? The food meant for five people last night was just enough to keep him from getting hungry!
"So you really became the center of attention? Hey! You can eat way too much..."
Passersby turned to look at them, so Miss Rin complained to Pendragon with a bit of a headache.
"Hmph, I think it's because they're obsessed with your beauty."
Pendragon, with a steaming takoyaki in his mouth, snorted disdainfully and said in a nasal tone.
At this moment, as Rin Tohsaka, who is now her wallet, Pendragon naturally has to serve her comfortably so that his appetite can be satisfied.
"W-No way!"
Rin Tohsaka glared at Pendragon, who was engrossed in his food, without getting angry, and couldn't help but blush.
"Boss, give me ten more servings!"
Upon hearing Assassin's energetic declaration, Rin Tohsaka could only manage a wry smile.
"I think it's because you ate too much. Let's go somewhere else later."
Not only was Miss Rin the center of attention, but a considerable number of eyes were also fixed on Pendragon.
The truth is, it's because both of them are very good-looking.
Whether it's their amazing appetites or their elegant demeanor, Pendragon and Rin Tohsaka stand together in such harmony and complement each other, like a match made in heaven.
The reason why people around her were paying attention was not because they found it strange, but because they were envious and admiring.
Because of their presence, a long queue formed outside the takoyaki shop, which wasn't doing very well before. Pendragon's eating looked so appetizing that even people who weren't usually hungry suddenly wanted to eat takoyaki.
The kind of dumpling that Pendragon has bitten into, with neat teeth marks and notches, looks especially tempting.
As Rin Tohsaka took the change from the proprietress, she grabbed Pendragon's wrist and quickly pulled the still reluctant Servant away.
Pendragon's attention quickly shifted from the various fillings of the takoyaki to Rin Tohsaka's warm and soft little hands.
Under the sunlight, the young lady's fair skin looked as if it were made of frost and snow, so white that it was almost dazzling.
"This hand..."
Pendragon looked at his left hand, which was being held, and muttered to himself, "I'll wash it twice more tonight."
