On the top of the ship, between the two masts, there is an empty area. Lorraine placed the take-off and landing platform for two Rainbow 1 vertical take-off and landing drones in the center of this area.

The Type 730 close-in weapon system (CIWS) on this type of dock landing ship was replaced by a Type 1130 CIWS by the Lorraine. Subsequently, these two Type 1130 CIWS were placed in the middle of the ship, on either side of the drone take-off and landing platform.

Two laser interception weapons are mounted on the bow and stern of the ship's top.
