Chapter 458 Big Boss Keeps Appearing
Chapter 458 Big Boss Keeps Appearing
Soon, Talzin, the leader of the Nightsisters, found Wanda.
"Ah, Wanda." Talzin greeted warmly, a familiar smile on his face. "Welcome back, I heard the meeting went very well."
Wanda responded hesitantly, "Uh...sort of."
Talzin's eyes flashed with curiosity: "Oh? Did you find anything?"
Wanda took a deep breath and said, "I heard about a man named Gerszerian. Do you know anything about him?"
As soon as the words fell, Madam Talzin's reaction was as fast as lightning. Her body trembled violently, as if some taboo had been touched.
"Woo--" she murmured softly. This was the first time Wanda saw real shock and fear on Talzin's face since arriving in Dathomir.
"Where did you know this name?" Talzin's voice trembled slightly.
"When I spoke to the clan leaders in Rose-Lea's territory, they told me she was 'apparently' back."
Madam Talzin's expression was shrouded in seriousness and worry. "Are you sure?"
"Yes," Wanda replied firmly, "most of the other clans are banding together to form an alliance with the intention of eliminating her, hoping that the incident in Zalem will not happen again."
Talzin was silent for a moment, then slowly said: "If possible, you should communicate with them in depth to get more information."
Wanda stared at Talzin and asked curiously, "Do you know her?"
Talzin's eyes revealed deep pain and hatred. "Of course I know." She said coldly, "We are her descendants, but we are different from her path... She betrayed our clan and traditions, and violated every virtue we uphold. We are practitioners of the dark arts, but we are united and loyal to our clan and the witch's faith, which is a sacred law shared by all witches of Dathomir. Gthzeran is a negative example for us, and so is Zalem."
Wanda didn't answer the question right away, but she understood the implication. Talzin continued, "If she appears again, we, the Nightsisters, will fight alongside the others." Matron Talzin said firmly, "We will not allow barbarism and evil to destroy our home."
Wanda nodded silently.
"Where is Ventres?" Talzin asked suddenly, leaving Wanda speechless for a moment.
"We...had another argument," Wanda replied briefly.
Hearing this answer, Talzin frowned, "You must——"
"How many times do I have to repeat why I hate her?"
Talzin seemed undeterred. "Despite your differences, you need to—"
"I know what you want to say, but it won't work that easily." Wanda interrupted her. "Need I remind you that she is my enemy? The entire Republic and the Separatists are not important to me. What matters is that your "sister" has repeatedly tried to kill my friends and teams, including my twin brother, and she stood on the opposite side of them."
"I understand the anger in your heart, but even so, we still need to work together." Talzin's voice was calm and firm.
"The conflict between the Republic and the Separatists is not important to me." Maximov interrupted irritably, "I can only say that I trust her as much as I can."
Talzin shook his head slightly to show his disapproval. "It is possible that Gerszerian is still alive at the moment. This requires the joint efforts of each of us. This means that you and Ventres need to put aside the disputes of the past and face the future together."
"I can't make promises easily." Maximov said after a moment's silence.
"Then have you considered Merlin, Elena, their mother and aunt? They regard you as their protector." Talzin pointed this out bluntly, making Maximov feel a little conflicted.
Faced with this situation, Wanda went to her favorite place to think it over, but unexpectedly it made things more complicated.
……
After destroying a small patch of dead wood and clearing it out with her lightsaber and her Force abilities, Ventress felt as though she had temporarily gained control of her rage.
She hoped that if she could avoid another confrontation with Maximov, or at least stop talking to her for the rest of the day, she might be able to keep her peace.
After venting her anger, Ventres calmed down and was on her way back to the mountains where her people lived. She accidentally discovered an abandoned spaceship that had crashed long ago in the same place. Her curiosity was aroused, and she wanted to know if her companions knew this secret. So she walked forward until she could vaguely hear whispers in the distance.
Instantly, her instinct made her duck down to hide herself. Although there was no one around, she remained alert.
A slight commotion gradually became apparent, followed by a voice that sounded like a wise man's admonition. Asajj listened nervously, and when the familiar voice came from the dilapidated ship, her eyes flickered slightly.
Ventres became extremely curious at this moment. She slowly walked towards the damaged ship, and the sound in the distance became clearer and clearer.
“Embers, focus your minds,” an old, dry voice said, “When practicing these techniques, the Force is closely connected to your body. Overuse will make you vulnerable.”
Asajj's eyes flashed with confusion, "What's going on?" She wondered, and as the conversation continued, she decided to move closer to the source of the sound.
"You have to let your emotions fuel your strength." Another voice sounded, this one young and aggressive.
"But remember," the old woman reminded again, "don't let it control you, lest you fall into their hands."
“We’re trying, Master Kreya,” another voice responded, “but it’s really hard.”
"Yeah, can't we try again?"
"That's when you feel you've reached your limit—"
As the conversation continued, the sound of soil moving on the ground and two low groans were heard one after another. Asajj recognized the voices of Merlin and Elena, but she was curious about the identities of the other two strangers.
Especially that name...Master Kreya.
This name was too familiar to her. Where had she heard of it?
When she finally arrived at her destination, her heart was full of doubts and expectations. She knew that this discovery might reveal some secrets of her past... Asajji witnessed a shocking scene.
Before the two young Nightsisters stood a pair of holographic dragons, casting light and shadows in the darkness. One was a fiery red, the other a pure white. Their most striking feature, however, was their unique pyramidal shape.
The presence of this pair of holographic dragons seemed to be an invisible sense of oppression to Asajj. They seemed to be immersed in the abyss of the Force, as if they were deeply attracted by it.
As time went on, two seemingly old spirits became aware of her presence. Their translucent eyes seemed to see everything and tracked down Asajj's hiding place. Ventres knew in his heart that their spirits had found her, an intuitive feeling.
"It looks like we're not alone."
Iliana, Merlin, and the other elf stopped what they were doing and turned around. When Iliana's eyes fell on Asajj, a light flashed in her eyes.
“Ventress!” she called out excitedly, “Master, this is my cousin, Asajj.”
"Oh, so it's her." The tattooed soul whispered to itself.
"We have heard many things about you, Asajj Ventres." There was a mysterious and solemn air in their voices.
Asajj seemed a little hesitant. She stared at the two ethereal women from the holographic dragons with fear. The power behind them was completely different from the heretical holographic dragons she encountered in Serenno. Although that power was sometimes hot and sometimes cold, it often made her feel nauseous and uncomfortable, but the two in front of her seemed particularly unique, and she felt more comfortable with them.
Even more surprising was the fact that these holographic dragon projections were very different from the typical holographic dragon projections she was familiar with.
"You...you are not just simple gatekeepers." Asajj took a deep breath, trying to calm the shock in his heart.
The holographic dragon gatekeepers mentioned by Ventres are judged based on the intentions of their creators - although mainly based on the gatekeeper's form. The gatekeepers themselves are able to access any information stored within the device and decide who is worthy of gaining access to the knowledge of the holographic dragon.
"We are not. Our souls are contained within our holodragons, not the mere gatekeepers that are usually made in the galaxy," the hooded soul explained.
"For thousands of years few people have been able to master this difficult technique." said the tattooed soul.
"I often wonder if the Force is testing my patience, forcing me into my holodragon as if to punish me for defying it."
At this time, Asajj swallowed his saliva and asked with curiosity and awe: "So who are you two?"
"I am Zozo," the tattooed man announced with unyielding pride. "I am one of the first Dark Lords of the Sith Order, and the architect of its glorious beginnings. I was one of those who turned away from the Jedi Order, seeking the darker forces of the path of truth. For me and my companions, we gave purpose to the Sith."
"I am Darth Traya," the hooded woman introduced herself succinctly. "Before my fall, I was Kreya. But I am better known as the mentor of Revan, Darth Nyarius, Darth Cylon, and the Jedi Exile Meetra Surik. My name echoes throughout the world of the Force."
When Ventres heard these two names, she seemed to be frozen in time. Her eyes widened in shock, because she could feel the powerful force fluctuations behind these two ancient Sith souls. Especially when she recognized who they were, the shock was beyond words.
Suddenly, Asajj knelt down in a reverent gesture.
"I am deeply honored to appear before you," she whispered, "Dark Founder of the Sith and Lord of Betrayal."
Sazo chuckled with a hint of satisfaction: "Finally, someone gave me the respect I deserve."
"If you weren't so harsh on Wanda, maybe you'd get more respect," Merlin couldn't help but interrupt.
Sawada's brows twitched slightly, and at the mention of the Avengers, an indescribable cringe flashed across her face.
"Maximov," Sakurazaka said sarcastically, "Does she know about you two?"
"She was the one who found and awakened us, Asajj Ventres," Darth Traya, the Lord of Betrayal, replied calmly. "We awakened from her power and gained much-needed energy. It saved us from dissipating after thousands of years."
"That's the only good thing she did." Sazō muttered to himself.
It seems that the first Lord of the Sith didn't like Maximoff very much. This made Ventres like Zozo very much now.
Deep within Asajj, she was so lost in thought that she did not notice that Revan's master, Darth Traya, was staring at her intently.
Darth Traya began to analyze her in depth, her eyes moving over Asajj, from her eyes to every part of her body. "You have an unusual connection with the Force. This feeling is similar to what I feel with Wanda, but it is completely different."
Asajj was slightly stunned after hearing this. "What...what do you mean?"
"There's a power inside you... a strange yet familiar feeling. I can't describe it accurately, it seems so strange," Traya continued.
"You...can you feel it too?" Asajj asked in surprise.
"The force is quite strong," Traya commented as she examined the Dark Jedi. "It's like a flame that's trying not to be snuffed out. It's very unique."
"I... can you help me?" Asajj said excitedly, "Can you help me use this power? I've put so much effort into this--"
"Ventress, this is not the kind of power you are familiar with." Traya interrupted her, "The power you possess is something neither of us fully understands."
Asajj's hope was instantly shattered. "Is there really nothing you can do?" she asked feebly.
"I just want to tell you that it is beyond the scope of the Force as we know it." The hooded Sith Lord emphasized again, "We are talking about an ancient art form, a way for our predecessors to use the Force, which has been lost in our time or has fallen into the realm of myth and legend."
“What is that?” Ventress was now confused. “What is this power within me that you are referring to?”
Sakura hummed quietly, crossing his arms in thought, "The best I can say is that this is an ancient way of using the Force as practiced by your predecessors. A lost art, nearly forgotten even in my time."
“What does this mean?” Ventres pressed. “Does it have a name?”
Zuo Zang shook his head, his eyes showing deep doubt. "I don't know. Its connection with the power of the universe seems to be a secret of the universe that I cannot know. It has always been a mystery as far as I know. That is nearly ten thousand years of history."
"Nearly ten thousand years?" Ventres exclaimed.
"Yes, nearly ten thousand years." Traya's voice was full of vicissitudes. "As far as I know, about seventeen thousand people have tried to solve this mystery so far."
Ventres puffed up his cheeks and took a deep breath, trying to find a clue from these long-ago years. As the saying goes, the Force is boundless, and everything is possible.
But is this really all Asajj has been through in the past few months?
The Avengers, Ultron, and this "untapped" power now coursing through her...
Perhaps, the real answer lies in the courage to think outside the box and explore the unknown.
Is there some unknown secret hidden behind this power? Ventres was full of doubts.
