Chapter 214: Fingers Interlocked: I Will Accompany You
Chapter 214: Fingers Interlocked: I Will Accompany You
"We're really too early, Harry.
But I think what Molly said makes sense.
I have asked the visitor's counter to let Bonn see your visitor record.
If she finds you arriving so early, she will be impressed by you."
As Draco kicked his legs in frustration, Mr. Weasley's voice echoed from the direction of the entrance.
Draco couldn't help but raise the corners of his mouth.
He jumped lightly off the fountain platform and stood on tiptoes a little nervously.
Amid the sound of the briskly beating heart, I saw the messy black hair and round-frame glasses.
Behind the glasses, Harry's dark circles were a little deep. Draco felt an inexplicable flash of sadness in his heart.
He must not have slept well recently.
"It's okay, Mr. Weasley. You can go to the office and rest first. I'll come find you later?"
Harry paused, hiding his exhaustion.
"I want to be alone for a while."
As Harry spoke, Draco found that his emotions actually rose and fell with the tone of his voice.
This made her feel a little embarrassed.
It's just a month since we last met, isn't it?
How come I felt such a deep attachment to him the moment we met again?
"Is... is that so, Harry? I'm a little tired, but Molly told me not to let you get lost.
How about this, let's go to my office together."
Mr. Weasley insisted gently, trying not to yawn.
"No one should have arrived yet, you can go to my cubicle and rest.
I'll use the thin gold desk to take a nap."
Harry nodded helplessly, his eyes constantly hesitating between the surface of his wrist and the area around the pool.
The big clock in the lounge showed that it was already ten past seven.
Draco smiled silently under the invisibility cloak.
I know today is a tense and serious day.
But when Draco saw Harry looking for him in a hurry, he couldn't help but feel excited.
Sneaking behind Mr. Weasley and Harry, he entered the elevator.
As the elevator slowly ascended to the second floor, I could see Harry's anxious and tired expression from a closer distance.
I was torn between a desire and a desire in my heart, not sure whether I should muster up the courage to quietly hold his hand.
As I hesitated, I suddenly realized that I had unconsciously performed a silent stalking behavior.
The next second, she lowered her head with a red face, playing with the corner of her clothes shyly.
He secretly thought that maybe he should never let Harry find out that he was following him secretly.
In the small elevator, the invisible Draco hid in the corner, and no one noticed his awkward mood. Until the ding-dong sound of the elevator arriving on the second floor brought her back to reality.
-
On the way to Mr. Weasley's office, we passed by Auror Headquarters.
Harry's eyes were naturally attracted, and Draco followed silently behind him, looking at Harry with a longing expression.
I finally arrived at the dark office in the corner.
Mr. Weasley gave Harry a brief tidying up and then lay down on the desk.
Harry was left in Mr. Weasley's compartment.
After making sure Mr. Weasley was resting, he paced back and forth anxiously.
He couldn't tell whether he was worried about the trial, which might take some form, or Draco, who had made an appointment to meet but didn't show up.
After hearing her message, Harry insisted on leaving early and went to the Ministry of Magic.
He had once tried to disguise Draco's warning as his own panic at the dinner table, and asked Mr. Weasley whether his case could be transformed from a simple hearing into a formal trial in the Wizengamot.
But this only brought Fred and George's sneers at the ridiculous idea, and Sirius and Hermione's angry consolation - they couldn't imagine how corrupt the Ministry of Magic must be to target Harry like this.
Thinking of Fred and George, Harry couldn't help but squeeze the parchment roll in his pocket that the two had given him.
I had originally thought that if I could meet Draco today, I could give one of them to her.
The twins said they got inspiration from Riddle's diary and the Marauder's Map.
We made magic props that can be shared among people on campus.
His thoughts turned to Draco again.
After passing the fountain, I began to faintly smell her unique fragrance.
But Draco was nowhere to be seen.
I can only guess that I miss you too much and have some illusions.
As I was thinking this, I just took my hand out of my pocket and it was gently held by an invisible hand.
Harry was a little surprised, but having extensive experience with invisibility cloaks, he immediately understood what was happening.
These past few nights, I heard this gentle voice that accompanied me to sleep.
"Don't worry. It'll be fine."
Draco gently took Harry's hand.
As Harry crouched down and tried to get under the invisibility cloak, he patted him gently on the head.
"I can't be seen. You should behave yourself. There is still a trial."
"This is so unfair... It's okay."
Harry was about to protest, but then he remembered that Draco had felt the same way over the past few nights.
I felt her fingertips gently stroking my bangs, and the fragrance became even stronger.
Draco seemed to be holding Harry's hand, leaning quietly on his shoulder.
"We should be getting ready. I heard it's changed to eight o'clock."
Harry checked his watch. It was seven thirty-five.
My stomach churned.
Trying to say something to divert attention.
"How did you know it would be changed to a trial and the time would be changed at the last minute?"
"A secret. But you'll be fine."
Draco didn't want to talk much, just comforted her softly.
Harry closed his eyes and felt the warmth of her body on his shoulder, slowly and gently soothing his uneasy emotions.
Just as they were about to enjoy their long-awaited time together, Mr. Weasley suddenly rushed in in a rage.
-
"Hurry up! Harry! They changed the time and place. Oh my God! It's a good thing we listened to you and arrived earlier!"
Mr. Weasley said, grabbing Harry and rushing towards the elevator.
The force of the blow nearly ripped off Draco's invisibility cloak.
Draco let Harry release him and followed closely behind him.
Crowds of people began to enter the office, and she could only be careful not to bump into anyone passing by.
"These courtrooms haven't been used in years! Why they're down there is beyond me—"
After several twists and turns, Mr. Weasley kept complaining on the way.
"Unless - No way... Could it be really as you said!?"
The elevator finally descended to the deepest floor. The voice informing the driver simply said "Mysterious Department" and then stopped.
Mr. Weasley once again pulled Harry and ran down the stairs.
"The elevator doesn't even go up to this floor... Could it be that they're really moving down here just for the trial?"
When I went downstairs, I found that this might be the oldest floor in the Ministry of Magic.
There were torches on the dark stone walls, and the whole space seemed to be a dungeon that could only appear in a history of magic textbook - hundreds of years ago, when Muggles and wizards hated each other, Muggles used to torture wizards and witches.
Mr. Weasley panted and leaned on his knees.
Harry also looked at his watch, sweating profusely.
Fortunately, they arrived five minutes early.
"Courtroom... Number 10... should be here. Ah! Here we are! Go ahead, get in quickly."
Mr. Weasley took a deep breath and opened the heavy iron door.
The heavy iron chain and lock on the iron door made clanging sounds, echoing in the dark corridor.
"You're not—you're not coming with me—?"
Harry was a little stunned, then glanced inside the iron door. The air in the dark room was heavy.
"No, no, I'm not allowed in. Good luck!" said Mr. Weasley, patting Harry's shoulder encouragingly.
Harry swallowed, his heart almost jumping out of his throat, but his left palm was tightly clasped by invisible tenderness.
Draco's breath was as soft as orchid, and he spoke in an extremely subtle voice beside his ear.
He found that she was wrapped in an invisible cloak, and her palms were trembling when she intertwined her fingers with his, but her voice was full of determination.
"Come on. I'll keep you company."
A new book is out, "HP: I Became Harry's Villainous Cousin", which unfolds from the perspectives of Harry and Dudley, with occasional mentions of Draco (Draco). It's not a minotaur, but still Harry x Draco, and Dudley's CP is someone else. There are hints in the text, plenty of fighting scenes, and a light novel with a rant!
